She's still very small but has changed so much! The black fur that covered her all over has mostly disappeared and she's gotten taller and lankier - I think this is what you'd call her "teenage" stage.

Yesterday we were approaching the park when I spied a tiny French Bulldog in the distance. From where we stood, I thought it looked smaller than Elsa (a first!) and was drawing a little crowd, just like Elsa does. When I got close, I realised that Elsa was still the smaller of the two. I think I lose perspective of just how tiny she is because I can still remember the days when she would fit into my dressing gown pocket or in the palm of my hand!

One thing I have learned since we got Elsa is what an "ice-breaker" a dog can be. I kid you not, there's people from my building who used to walk past me or James every day without making eye contact, let alone saying hello, but since having Elsa, these very people always seem very pleased to see us and usually stop for a chat. It's really sweet. I think if you are isolated or longing for some human company, having a dog is one of the best ways to attract people to you!

I won't drone on about Elsa any longer but I will leave you with some photos I took this morning of the little lady...

Isn't she just the cutest?

  1. Argh, so much cuteness. If I lived in your building I'd be your new BFF...
