I think it's safe to say that this recipe has somewhat of a cult status in internet circles. Jessica Simpson gorged on them while pregnant; popular blogger The Londoner calls them the best brownies in the world. They're the kind of thing that must be dreamt up by people who endeavour to sink the naughtiest foods to even lower-brow, atherosclerosis-inducing new depths... Deep fried pizza, anyone?!

We decided to see what all the fuss was about and set about making these triple-stacked sweets for ourselves. You hear criminals talk about how easy it was to pull off their dirty act. This was no exception: squash a batch of cookie dough into a baking dish, top with Oreos and fudgey brownie mixture, then bake. I had a slice for breakfast this morning and I'm somewhat twitchy from the sugar hit. Like a stomach-flipping rollercoaster ride, this is one recipe you must try once, if only to be able to say that you have indeed experienced it in your lifetime. The original recipe is here, but here's the evidence we did it. You can arrest us now.
